History of Ford

Ford has gained an immense amount of respect for its continuous success in producing high-quality automobiles since its foundation in 1903 by Henry Ford. At well over a century old, Ford has been around longer than basically every human on Earth. Automobiles hadn’t been around all that long by the time Ford opened their doors, and this gave them a modern-day reputation as industry trailblazers. In an attempt to make their mark on a brand new market that was getting ready to take off, Ford began production of its first lineups, the most notable being the Model T, which held its spot in the market for two decades.

Ford, at its core, was and always is a company well-familiar with the concept of innovation. Even to this day, Ford has a knack of implementing state-of-the-art features that leave competitors in a tough spot. For example, Ford was the first manufacturer to implement a windshield made up of high-quality safety glass and produced the first consumer-grade vehicle that was powered by a V8 engine while retaining a lower price. In the current day, Ford continues to produce many different types of vehicles, including the likes of hybrids, which has proven to be a significant step towards increased fuel efficiency. Ford has gained an immense amount of popularity in the days since its inception and has earned numerous awards over the year for safety, innovation, and overall excellence.

A Ford Models Overview

Ford has an extensive catalog offering drivers a wide array of high-quality vehicles to choose from. Having so many choices, to begin with, already makes the lineup great; this means there is something in there for everyone. Amongst Ford’s offerings are a plethora of SUVs and crossovers, trucks, and vans, as well as a lineup of sedans, hybrids, and a range of performance vehicles. No matter what kind of vehicle you’re looking for, whether it’s for towing, camping, driving the kids around, or even for your daily life, Ford has got the vehicle for you.

Amongst many of the Ford vehicles in production, you’ll find various special features such as EcoBoost engines. These are engines that are both smaller and lighter than many of its contemporaries, providing ample power in a smaller package. Additionally, EcoBoost engines are favored by many fans due to their excellent fuel-efficiency thanks to the smaller footprint of the engine itself. And while known for the superb performance these vehicles give to drivers, the Ford lineup is also well known for its suite of safety features that is growing by the model year. Generally, Ford models are popular for a reason: they have a lot to offer.

Promising Warranties

Ford is well known for its quality vehicles, but also for the warranties those vehicles have. The new-vehicle limited-warranty offered by Ford covers a range of different components, as long as your within the allotted time-frame and mileage limit since acquiring your vehicle. For starters, after purchasing your new Ford vehicle, you’ll be covered from damage caused by a bumper-to-bumper accident for up to three years, or up to 36,000 miles on the odometer.

The new-vehicle limited warranty also comes with coverage for your vehicle’s powertrain for up to five years or 60,000 miles since its initial purchase date. This powertrain warranty covers a majority of the critical components that make up your vehicle’s powertrain such as engine repairs, and a wide range of transmission repairs. Furthermore, the elements that make up the front-wheel-drive or all-wheel-drive of your car are also covered, which includes axle shafts, bearings, final drive housing, driveshafts, hubs-automatic front locking, and more.

The new-vehicle limited warranty also includes coverage for your Ford’s safety restraint system for up to five years or 60,000 miles. This warranty is rather straightforward and covers the seatbelts and airbags inside of your vehicle. The next part of the warranty is corrosion coverage, but only for perforation. This coverage lasts for five years and has no limit on the vehicle’s mileage that would cancel out the warranty otherwise. In order for the corrosion of your vehicle to be applicable to the warranty, it must not be caused by accidents or any kind of user error. And lastly, should your Ford vehicle contain a diesel-powered engine, you’ll be covered for many of the components inside for up to five years or 100,000 miles.

It is important to note that the new-vehicle limited warranty doesn’t apply to a wide range of user-related damages, including any damage caused by modifying your vehicle or altering anything related to the chassis, body, or any major components. However, it covers most of everything else that could happen to a vehicle in those first few years of owning it. These warranties prove that not only does Ford believe in the vehicles they produce, but their dedication to drivers as well.

What it Means to be Built Ford Tough

We have all heard the slogan, “Built Ford Tough,” and while it works well as a piece of advertising that sticks in our minds, it means so much more than that. All you have to do is drive a Ford car, truck, or SUV to understand exactly what this phrase means. It is more than a piece of effective advertising; it is a declaration of purpose, a clear mission-statement that tells you everything you need to know about Ford vehicles.
A Ford is built to last, to be as strong as you are, and to keep working for as long as you need it to. Here at DePaula Ford, we believe in these words and what they represent. Our customers come to us because they need a car, truck, or SUV that they can rely on: summer and winter, rain and snow, and everything in between. That is what it means to be Built Ford Tough, and these are the words we live by as your Ford dealership.
