Traction
The Active trim of the 2026 Ford Expedition is available with rear-wheel drive or four-wheel drive. All other trims of the 2026 Expedition come standard with four-wheel drive. Ford has equipped the Expedition Tremor with an electronic locking rear differential. The fifth-generation Expedition, introduced last year, includes a new feature that makes storing cargo and belongings in the back of your vehicle easier than ever. And with the available Open On Approach, the liftgate will open automatically as long as you have the keyfob on your person.

Folding down the third row frees up 69.9 cubic feet, and folding down the second row gives you a very large 108.5 cubic feet for your belongings.

This has 37.4 cubic feet of space in the trunk, which can be increased to 84.5 cubic feet when you fold down the third row of seats, and an incredible 123.1 cubic feet of cargo space when you fold down the second row of seats as well.
