Trim Lineups

The Pro is the entry-level trim, while the XLT model features LED signature lighting, heated front seats for winter comfort, and the Mega Power Frunk. Going with the Flash trim, you get a larger center stack display, ActiveX seating for added comfort, and an enhanced B&O sound system. The Lariat model comes with signature rear lighting, a twin panel moonroof for a gorgeous view of the sky overhead, and ventilated front seats. Finally, you can choose the Platinum trim for premium Nirvana leather seating, a B&O Unleashed 14-speaker sound system, and much more. This makes it easy to get everything you want without missing a thing.
Front Trunk Features

Looking at the 2025 Silverado EV, we have no doubts that Chevy’s designers and engineers have put a lot of work into making it functional and stylish. The lack of an engine allows for a front trunk in the Silverado EV that provides just over 10 cu.ft. of cargo space, adding onto the room that comes from its bed. It has nice exterior lighting, although we generally prefer how Ford has designed the lighting of the F-150 Lightning, along with good options for charging and other functionality. There is certainly nothing wrong with what Chevy offers, but it fails to get us excited or imagine everything we could do with it.
The 2025 F-150 Lightning, on the other hand, has a number of excellent features and options that we cannot help but start picturing different ways to use. For example, the Mega Power Frunk is incredibly easy to access and has more than 14 cu.ft. of cargo space, significantly more than Chevy offers with the Silverado EV. What’s more, this Frunk is lockable, features Pro Power Onboard outlets and USB outlets, and is water-resistant for everything you need to store. Best of all, Ford’s available Home Backup Power system lets you use the F-150 Lightning as a backup generator for your home, providing you with up to three days of power in an emergency situation where that energy in your house can be crucial.

As you have seen so far, the Ford F-150 Lightning has a lot to offer with its numerous trim levels, excellent features inside and out, plus great technology to improve your time on the road. We have not even mentioned things like Ford’s impressive BlueCruise hands-free driving system or the available Tailgate Step and Work Surface that makes it easier to get your job done anywhere you go. All of this comes together to make for a fantastic truck designed to help you tackle any task, from hauling drywall around town to getting you to your favorite campsite on the weekend, and anything in between. What truly takes the F-150 Lightning to the next level, however, is the fact that you can get all of this at a starting price that is much lower than you will find with the Chevy Silverado EV.
