2025 Ford F-150 Lightning

There has been a significant shift in the automotive industry in recent years, with car manufacturers doubling down on their goals to reduce carbon emissions and create a sustainable lineup of electric vehicles (EVs). One of the brands leading the way is Ford. The brand has invested heavily in this venture and is already producing EV versions of its most iconic nameplates, including the Ford F-150.
The Ford F-150 Lightning debuted in 2022 and since then, it has become an electrified favorite, thanks to Ford’s dedication to providing drivers with the features they need—and want—most. Today’s version, the 2025 Ford F-150 Lightning, continues to turn heads and just might be the truck you’ve been searching for.
Our knowledgeable and friendly team at DePaula Ford is excited to show you what the F-150 Lightning offers and help you narrow down our inventory to ensure you find the best match for your driving needs. The 2025 model year remains relatively the same as the 2024 version, which introduced the Flash trim, which puts technology front and center, including a 15.5-inch infotainment screen.
Other notable changes included keyless entry for all trims and an updated BlueCruise hands-free system. Finally, the ProPower onboard generator that previously wouldn’t power on unless the truck was also on now starts up when you unlock the truck.
These changes add to what was already a successful launch for the brand, with the Ford F-150 Lightning ranking near the top in its class and gaining in popularity day by day. Power and Performance

When electric and hybrid vehicles were first introduced, many drivers turned away because of the lack of power they offered. Automotive brands realized this and got to work on a solution that not only fixed the issue but surpassed what many thought would be possible. In fact, many of today’s EV and hybrid vehicles are just as successful when it comes to power and performance as gas-powered versions.
In fact, the F-150 Lightning offers impressive acceleration and even beats gas-powered options in a 0-60 mph test. For numbers’ sake, the Lightning’s Platinum trim reached 60 mph in 4.0 seconds and covered a quarter of a mile in just 12.7 seconds.
What’s behind those numbers? A dual eMotor with single-speed transmission. Specifically, the truck is equipped with either a 98 kWh battery dual motor or a 131 kWh battery dual motor. The former produces up to 452 hp, while the latter offers 580 hp, with both offering 775 lb-ft of torque. You’ll also find some impressive towing capacity numbers when researching the Lightning, with the smaller of the two dual motors able to tow up to 7,700 lbs. and the larger offering a maximum of 10,000 lbs.
Of course, power and performance should also cover efficiency—how far can you go on one charge? The answer might surprise you, as the smaller dual motor drive range is 240 miles, with the larger going a bit further at 320 miles. Each of these ranges is connected to the standard all-wheel drive version of the Lightning. You will also find that the truck uses Intelligent Range. This means that it can gather data regarding the road ahead, including weather, traffic, and terrain, to provide updates about the drive range so you will know exactly how far you can go.
Technology

The Ford F-150 Lightning is a tech-forward truck that ensures you can stay connected and powered up at any moment during your drive. First, it offers wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, which allow you to connect a compatible phone to access things like your favorite playlist, turn-by-turn directions, contacts, and more. In addition to that, with the FordPass app, you can lock or unlock your truck remotely, find the best navigation routes for the amount of battery you have left, and see how much charge is available.
The Ford F-150 Lightning can also be unlocked using your phone rather than the key, which is convenient when you accidentally lock the keys in the truck or when you can’t find them and need to pick up the kids from school.
You will also find that each trim level comes equipped with a standard 12-inch digital instrument cluster. It’s equipped with the SYNC 4 with Enhanced Voice Recognition system, along with a 12-inch touchscreen or SYNC 4A with Enhanced Voice Recognition and a 15.5-inch touchscreen, depending on the trim you choose. The difference between SYNC 4 and SYNC 4a is the ability to personalize the screen’s layout thanks to Adaptive Dash Cards and a redesigned menu for better navigation.
Technology is also front and center regarding how you reach your destination, particularly when equipped with BlueCruise—Ford’s hands-free driving system. BlueCruise is compatible with more than 130,000 miles of roads throughout North America and Canada, allowing you to reach your destination refreshed and ready to go.
The system also detects traffic ahead, changes lanes when necessary, and keeps you centered in your lane thanks to 360-degree perception. In addition, there is a driver-facing camera that tracks eye gaze and head position to make sure that while you do not have to have your hands on the wheel, you are still paying attention.
Convenience and Cargo Space

Other than the bed of the truck, trucks notoriously don’t offer much in the way of cargo space. The Ford F-150 Lightning changes that narrative, offering you a lockable front trunk—known as the Mega Power Frunk—that provides you with 14.1 cu.ft. of room. The Lightning’s frunk can hold up to 400 lbs of cargo and has four 120V power outlets. It is located where the engine would be if the truck were gas-powered. In addition to being lockable, the Mega Power Frunk is water-resistant, includes USB outlets, and is easy to clean. It also opens and closes automatically for easy accessibility.
Beyond the Mega Power Frunk, all trim levels of the Lightning come with a 5.6-foot bed that offers an additional 52.8 cu.ft., as well as various storage compartments in the cabin, including under-seat storage and the ability to lift the rear seats up and keep them in place for storage at the floor level.
The 2025 Ford F-150 Lightning is also convenient when it comes to providing you with the power you need when you need it. With the ProPower Onboard system, you can access up to 9.6 kWh of power, depending on the trim you choose. This built-in generator is ideal for drivers who use their truck at the worksite or enjoy camping and off-roading on the weekends. With the maximum amount of power, you can easily use power tools, keep a mini fridge running, work on your laptop, and more.
Another convenience feature is the fact that you can use your phone as your key. All you need to do is enable the function in the FordPass app. While this might not seem like a big deal, you can likely think of a time when you were late to your destination because you were hunting for your truck keys. Rather than spending the time tearing the house apart, you can simply get in the truck and go.
