It’s hard to believe that five years have passed since the Ford Bronco’s 2021 return to the road. On the other hand, it’s easy to see that there’s a legend in our presence. The 2026 Ford Bronco is back with even more of the things drivers love, including an all-new 60th Anniversary Package.

What Makes This New Bronco So Special?

For many drivers, it’s all about the attitude. After all, it’s hard to find a sport utility vehicle that truly embraces the concepts of “sport” and “utility” quite as well as the versatile, off-road-ready Ford Bronco.

That Same Wild Attitude

It might not be fair to call the 2026 Bronco an “off-road” vehicle. It has perfectly decent manners on highways and city roads, too. That being said, it’s clear that the Ford Bronco was designed for adventure. Every mode includes at least five G.O.A.T. Modes (Goes Over Any Type of Terrain), though the more serious all-terrain models include seven. All-wheel drive is standard across the lineup, as well.

And then there’s the matter of the roof. While most SUVS offer the choice of “moonroof” or “no moonroof,” the Ford Bronco argues that maybe you don’t actually need a roof at all. Or doors. Made with the intention of being removed, two-door Bronco models include a standard hard top, while four-door models come with a standard soft top. However, Ford offers a large variety of optional roof opportunities, including a dual-top with hard and soft panels.

And while the 2026 Bronco has an impressive ground clearance of up to 13.1 inches, can ford up to 37 inches of water, and has an approach angle of 43.2 degrees, you are not obligated to drive your Bronco on anything wilder than a gravel driveway. What’s New for 2026?

Though the Bronco is celebrating five years since its return, the Ford Bronco itself was introduced to the American public in 1965. To celebrate the six decades that span then and now, Ford is offering the 2026 Bronco 60th Anniversary Package, available on Outer Banks models with the Sasquatch package, making it a complete vision of form and function. Not only do drivers have their choice of engine, but they’ll also enjoy a more advanced 4×4 system, electronic-locking front and rear differentials, and 35-inch rugged terrain tires.

And in the grand tradition of retro classic homages, the 60th Anniversary Bronco features vintage Bucking Bronco logos and 1966 badges in Vermilion Red. The vibe continues with the Vermilion Red center cap and wheel design, reminiscent of the 1966 Bronco hubcaps, and a throwback grille design. Inside, the red accents continue, this time against the background of Ebony leather upholstery, Alpine leather inserts, and along the instrument panel.

Plenty of Choices for That Perfect Driving Experience

If Vermilion Red isn’t your style, bear in mind that the 2026 Ford Bronco lineup is all about choices and customization. First, there’s the choice of two-door or four-door, and which type of roof you want. Then, of course, there’s the matter of choice between the Base, Big Bend, Outer Banks, Badlands, Heritage Edition, Stroppe Edition, and Raptor models.

The standard engine across much of the lineup is a 300-hp 2.3L EcoBoost I-4, but Outer Banks models and above are eligible for a 330-hp 2.7L V6. The V6 engine is standard on the Stroppe Edition, and the Bronco Raptor comes equipped with an exclusive 418-horsepower 3.0L EcoBoost V6 engine. Then there’s the choice between a seven-speed manual transmission and a 10-speed automatic transmission, depending on your ease-of-shifting preferences.

Last but not least, there’s the matter of aesthetics. Whether you’re looking for something bold, like the plaid cloth seating of the Heritage Edition, or sleek, like the Raptor Black Appearance Package, there’s a Bronco that matches your personality. In fact, Ford did the math for us and confirmed that there are 37 possible body/roof color combinations, giving drivers the freedom to be as eccentric or as coordinated as they care to be. And of course, it’s just not a Ford vehicle without loads of packages and options to choose from. Winning All the Major Cool Points

In addition to its superior performance and aesthetics, the 2026 Ford Bronco has plenty of creature comforts to offer drivers. Each of the 2026 Bronco trims brings its own personality to the table with performance and aesthetic features that complement its engineering. Climbing the trims unlocks access to even more goodies, like a heated, leather-wrapped steering wheel or heated front seats. Higher trims

include more driver assistance technology as well, including adaptive cruise control, blind-spot sensing, and lane-keeping assistance.

In many cases, the standard equipment on higher trims is still available for the lower trims. The available 12-speaker Bang & Olufsen audio system comes as standard equipment on the top Stroppe Edition and Raptor trims, though you don’t need to order one of these trims to access it—it is also part of the Lux Package.  As with many Ford vehicles, customization is key.
