What’s Available for 2024?

There are plenty of ways to customize the latest Mustang to suit your personal style. There are seven total trim levels to choose from, each available in a coupe and convertible version. How many other brands can offer so many ways to feel the wind in your hair? The available trims include the EcoBoost, EcoBoost Premium, GT, GT Premium, and Dark Horse.

This seventh-generation Mustang ranges in price, starting in the low $30,000s all the way up to about $60,000. You can order it in your choice of eleven standard colors, with a twelfth available exclusively for the Dark Horse trim. These colors include Grabber Blue, Iconic Silver, Atlas Blue, Vapor Blue, Shadow Black, Race Red, Rapid Red, Yellow Splash, Carbonize Gray, Dark Matter, Oxford White, and the Ember Blue that only comes with the Dark Horse. Each color highlights the ingenuity of the exterior and perfectly compliments other distinctive styling elements, such as the black roof on the GT when you order it in Race Red. The Dark Matter comes accented with three racing stripes that stretch the length of the hood and roof.

Mustang drivers get to choose the shoes, too. You have several wheel styles available and additional ways to dress up the wheels with different trims and three available Brembo brake calipers that come in Black, Red, or Grabber Blue. The available Nite Pony Appearance Package offers black wheels and badges, black mirror caps, and roof and rear spoiler. Another new option is the Bronze Design Series Appearance Package, which comes with eye-catching Sinister Bronze alloy wheels and bronze badging.

To add to the allure, Ford is ushering in a new key fob that allows you to remotely rev the Mustang’s engine, aptly named the Remote Rev. Ford released a promotional video highlighting the feature, drawing plenty of attention from Mustang die-hards. When you press the lock button on the key fob once, then press the remote start button twice, it will activate the rev function. It can go up to 3,000, 4,000, and even 5,000 RPM. It’s fun to drive the 2024 Mustang, but it’s equally as fun to scare the pants off your neighbor.

This V8 produces a hair-raising 500 horsepower. Add the Performance Electronic Parking Brake to that or the other trims, and take advantage of the class-first Drift Brake feature.

The refreshed interior boasts a near-total overhaul, as well. Pulling inspiration from jet fighter cockpits, Ford put a laser focus on the driver’s experience for the cabin of the ‘24 Mustang. New technology creates a brighter interface that’s functional and attractive. A flat-bottomed steering wheel makes for a more race-like aesthetic. The new 12.4-inch LCD digital cluster gives you all the necessary real-time info in a layout that’s intuitive and fresh. As far as interior colors go, choose between upholstery in Black Onyx, Space Gray, Emberglo, Carmine Red, or Deep Indigo. To make things even more alluring, Ford offers accent color seat belts for that extra pop of style.

Peak Performance At a Glance

The base engine featured on the EcoBoost models is a 2.3L turbocharged I-4 with an output of 315 horsepower and 350 lb-ft of torque. It’s plenty exciting and certainly economical compared to the larger powertrains on other models. If you’re looking at the GT, you’ll find a 5.0L V8 that produces a thrilling 480 horsepower and 415 lb-ft of torque. That’s a 30-horsepower increase over the previous generation’s V8. Each EcoBoost engine is paired with a ten-speed automatic transmission. If you’re craving more connection, the GT models are available with a TREMEC six-speed manual transmission, or you can opt for Active Valve Exhaust which adds a little more horsepower and a bit more torque. Finally, the Dark Horse gets you a 500-horsepower 5.0L V8 configuration that can accommodate either transmission.
