What We Know About the 2021 Ford Bronco

The Ford Bronco is a vintage Ford classic that first rolled out of Ford factories way back in 1966. The Ford Bronco originally was a three-door SUV, with a considerable amount of oomph beneath the hood. A clear focus of the original Ford Bronco was off-road capability, and this was due in major part to increased ground clearance, and beefy tires. The Ford Bronco spent several decades evolving, transforming from the stylishly rugged SUV of yesteryear to the more modern models that we’re familiar with today. Unfortunately, the Ford Bronco didn’t get to see the new millennium, as the last Ford Bronco went out of production way back in 1996.

It’s been over twenty years since then, and all signs are pointing to a triumphant return of Ford’s legendary SUV. Since its disappearance from the Ford family, the Ford Bronco has been celebrated by vintage drivers across the board. Although, what we know so far about the newest iteration of the Ford Bronco is that it will be very different from those of the past.

On appearances alone, the Ford Bronco takes a far departure from the original models that once tackled pavement and nature trail alike. The New Ford Bronco is strikingly modern with its round headlights, stark black accents, and chunky off-road tires. However, to pay homage to the models of the past, the new Ford Bronco will be available in either a two- or four-door boxy body styling. A removable rooftop will also be available, giving you the option of a completely open-air experience.

The details of the Ford Bronco are a little iffy, but we have some ideas as to what to expect. The 2021 Ford Bronco will likely share the same powertrain platform as the next Ford Ranger. Because of this similar framing, we can expect that it’ll get the same 2.7-liter V6 engine, which is traditionally found on the Ford F-150. While we don’t yet have horsepower or torque specs, we do know that a seven-speed manual transmission will be available, as well as plenty of gear for off-roading. And speaking of powertrains, Ford has revealed that a hybrid powertrain will be available as well. Though it is important to note, official gas mileage ratings won’t be available until the Ford Bronco gets an official release. Everything beyond powertrains is pure speculation, but we suspect that drivers will be able to enjoy a dazzling infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, as well as access to a suite of advanced driver assistance features.

The 2021 Ford F-150 Raptor

Speaking of off-road vehicles, next in our list of returning fan favorites is the Ford F-150 Raptor. Like the Ford Bronco, there is still a lot left to learn about the Ford F-150 Raptor, but we do know that there will be a variety of minor visual changes and a few gear upgrades as well. The Ford F-150 Raptor surged to popularity, due to its sheer prowess when handing off the pavement. A trim option of the Ford F-150, the Raptor was the beefiest of the lineup, and based on what we know of the 2021 model, it continues to deliver some serious power across the board.

Leaked documentation has shown us that the 2021 Ford F-150 Raptor will get a 3.5-liter turbocharged V6 engine that’ll churn out 450 horsepower and 510 pound-feet of torque. If the stats are true, that’s some serious power tucked beneath the hood, and drivers should be able to expect far more versatility off the pavement than ever before.

2021 Ford Mustang Mach-E

Like the Ford Bronco, the Ford Mustang has been within the Ford family for decades now. First appearing on the scene back in 1964, the Mustang has continued to make waves well into the 21st century. Although the Ford Mustang has changed a lot over the years, the newer models still meet the same expectations of older models, sheer performance. The Ford Mustang Mach-E stands to be the biggest change-up in recent memory, by providing an all-electric variant to a notoriously gas-powered only car.

The 2021 Ford Mach-E is expected to have a 300-mile range, which is rather remarkable considering the competition. With that electric engine, drivers can leap from 0 to 60 in all of 3 seconds, and with an average charge of 61 miles for every ten minutes, the Ford Mustang Mach-E is expected to be both powerful and practical. The interior of the Ford Mustang Mach-E is likely to look like something straight from the future, with a sprawling center screen console that gives you a comprehensive loadout of everything you need to know while behind the wheel.
