For 2024, you can expect even more from the Mach-E, with Ford improving the SUV's range and introducing more spirited and adventurous options like the Mach-E Rally. Add in the fact that Ford reduced the Mach-E's pricing in late 2023, and you can readily expect the SUV to offer exceptional packaging and value in 2024.
Electric vehicles like the 2024 Mustang Mach-E and 2024 ARIYA introduce us to a new lifestyle that takes us away from gas stations, saves us from spending hundreds of dollars on fuel, and reduces our carbon footprint. But how does this electric power translate when we're behind the wheel? As anticipated, you can expect two unique experiences from the 2024 ARIYA and the 2024 Mach-E.
The 2024 ARIYA's appeal is straightforward, with Nissan targeting commuters and first-time EV owners with its single motor powertrains paired with a 63-kWh or 87-kWh lithium-ion battery. The smaller battery and 160-kW motor produces 214 hp and 221 lb-ft of instant torque, a shared figure with the 87-kWh electric motor that delivers a slightly higher output of 238 hp. Either way, the ARIYA's single motors are competent, but you'll have to spend far more for a dual-motor configuration if you're looking for a longer driving range and more engagement in the driver's seat. For example, the 63-kWh e-4ORCE dual motor produces 335 hp and 413 lb-ft of torque, with the 87-kWh dual motor producing 389 hp and 442 lb-ft of torque for an anticipated driving range of up to 304 miles.
The ARIYA's performance isn't lackluster until you look at alternatives like the 2024 Mach-E. The SUV's namesake implies the high stakes for building an electric speed demon, and Ford successfully delivers. The 2024 Mach-E's electric powertrains include single and dual motor configurations, but the capacities are larger at 72-kWh and 91-kWh. As expected, this larger capacity translates to a higher output and a better driving range.

From its motion-activated liftgate and Nappa leather seating to its 10-speaker Bose premium sound system, the Platinum+ is the best-equipped and most expensive.
Fortunately, Ford does a far better job with the 2024 Mach-E's trim lineup, giving the Select, Premium, GT, and Rally distinct personalities and tangible value. The Select is the Mach-E's entry point, offering outstanding value with its wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, standard range battery, and BlueCruise compatibility. The Premium targets drivers who appreciate more features, with Ford outfitting the SUV with a Bang & Olufsen sound system and a panoramic fixed-glass roof for a stunning cabin experience.
Beyond the feature-rich Premium, the Mach-E GT matches every insatiable need for speed with its launch from 0 to 60 mph in as little as 3.3 seconds with the optional Performance Upgrade. The 2024 ARIYA's 12.3-inch display frames the cockpit, with Nissan making the ARIYA's gauges behind the steering wheel customizable. The infotainment system keeps you seamlessly connected to your smartphone and entertained with SiriusXM with 360L. Beyond this, you can use Alexa Built-In to stream your favorite music, hear the latest headlines, check the weather, or control your smart home devices without taking your hands off the wheel. You can also use the ARIYA's built-in virtual assistant with a simple "Hello Nissan" to make a call, adjust the cabin temperature, or navigate your route.
Nissan adds to the ARIYA's packaging by including an Intelligent Route Planner and an extensive suite of driver-assist tools and standard safety technologies. ProPILOT Assist 2.0 is the most notable for the 2024 ARIYA because it lets you take your hands off the wheel when traveling on compatible roadways. Other technologies include the standard Nissan Safety Shield 360 suite and Nissan's Intelligent safety tools.
